Project
Developed for the Instituto Dr. José Frota (IJF), one of Brazil's largest public emergency hospitals, the SIGAM App is an essential tool aimed at optimizing the management of multidisciplinary medical care in emergency units.
Faced with the growing challenge of overcrowding and the demand for faster responses in urgent care, the app was designed to streamline communication between medical teams and efficiently manage response times.
The SIGAM App allows for accurate monitoring of medical evaluations, the location of sectors, and the organization of care priorities within the hospital, significantly improving emergency management.
The project aimed to create a simple and intuitive interface, integrating various hospital departments to ensure that each team has quick and effective access to information, minimizing patient risks and improving the quality of care.
The App stands out not only for its functionality on mobile devices but also for its responsive interface designed also for tablets. This expanded usability ensures that different teams within the hospital can access critical patient information regardless of the device being used.
The tablet version was specifically developed to offer a more tangible and detailed view of patient management, optimizing the workflow for healthcare professionals working in high-pressure environments like the IJF.
By allowing medical staff to track patient evaluations, manage care priorities, and locate different hospital sectors, the SIGAM App streamlines the entire emergency response process, from initial patient intake to the final stages of care.
Whether on mobile phones or tablets, the app is designed to be intuitive, ensuring that the information is available quickly and effectively, contributing to a significant reduction in patient risk and improving the quality of emergency care.
Results
Since its implementation, the SIGAM App has transformed the emergency care workflow at Instituto Dr. José Frota (IJF). By streamlining communication and optimizing the management of medical assessments, the app has significantly improved the hospital’s ability to handle large patient volumes with greater efficiency. The use of mobile and tablet interfaces ensures that multidisciplinary teams can access real-time information and respond more dynamically to patient needs, reducing wait times and improving the overall quality of care.
As a result, the hospital now experiences faster, more agile patient management, leading to a more fluid workflow in emergency care. This improvement has directly contributed to reduced morbidity and mortality rates, ensuring that critical cases are handled with the urgency they require. SIGAM App represents a major step forward in hospital management, enhancing both team coordination and patient outcomes in a high-stakes environment.
