LUZ [COM] CRETA - LAMP | Product Design
The project proposal  was involved in questioning the meaning of light, coming from a proposition by the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) for the development of a luminous product. This gives rise to an overwhelming and powerful meaning of light, in which its omnipresence and strength stand out, combined with its surroundings, comfort and fluidity. These are the design assumptions and the basis for design decisions.
The proposition was required to be a luminous artifact which a table lamp was developed with fittings and materials in line with the concept and premises of the project.
CONCEPT AND CASING
The luminaire reinforces the natural, powerful and welcoming feeling provided by light. Its format is unpredictable and its base was created to give the feeling of something that is built, molded.
The design choices are based on characteristics of power, strength, omnipresence, fluidity, envelopment and comfort.
A cry for freedom and an imperfect nature, fleeing uniform paradigms. Running away from perfection.

The product's casing is made of fabric soaked in cement, in which it restores its principles of strong, overwhelming, rustic and cozy meaning, aligned with the welcoming and fluid nature of light.
Light is power by meaning and fluid by essence. With this, the formatting of loops and ligatures is born.

STRUCTURE AND PROCESS
It has three pvc pipe bases that connect the housing, lamp and base. The pipes were bathed in cement in order to strengthen the concept of power and strength of light and through fabric ties to show their fluidity and connection.
The base is also made of cement and circular in shape, finished in an external area of smooth concrete and an internal area with permanence of imperfections and rough lines.
Finally, the base was covered with white spray paint, which absorbs all the reflection of the tones, since there is a total reflection of the seven colors of the spectrum.
And in its final composition it was bathed in spray varnish for finishing.
