CONCEPT PROJECT
The exhibition "Mino por Inteiro" is a vibrant celebration of Mino, multifaceted artistic journey. The concept behind the exhibition is to showcase the breadth of Mino’s creative output across a range of media, blending visual art with the written word to reflect his wide-ranging talents. Mino’s work, rooted in social commentary, humor, and everyday life, transcends traditional boundaries, offering viewers a deeply personal and introspective experience.
The exhibition is divided into two main rooms, each representing different phases and themes of Mino’s artistic career. The first room (blue), dominated by black and white compositions, features cartoons, drawings, and poems that reflect Mino's keen observations on social issues and political movements. This room emphasizes his ability to convey complex topics with humor and wit. A notable piece is the replica of his famous mural Terra da Luz, originally painted at the Pinto Martins International Airport, which highlights the history and culture of Ceará.
The second room (red) bursts into color, showcasing Mino's more playful and imaginative side. This space is filled with vivid paintings, culinary memories, and the beloved character Capitão Rapadura, a local superhero that Mino created. The room also features works that celebrate Brazilian festivities, including vibrant canvases from the Cozinha Dona Benta series, as well as Mino’s contributions to advertising, with humorous logos and seasonal illustrations.
Between the two rooms, the exhibition is punctuated by the playful JumentoParade installation, a testament to Mino’s unique blend of humor, philosophy, and regional pride. This central piece further solidifies the concept of the exhibition, which is not only a tribute to Mino’s past but a celebration of his ever-evolving artistic expression. André Scarlazzari was the exhibit artist and developed together the design team Pedro Lides and Isabel Scarlazzari.
